Meanwhile, in Rougemont, Switzerland, a significant cultural project is being proposed, supported by a private investor. Plans are underway for an underground concert hall and museum, intended to combat regional desertification. The concert hall is expected to accommodate between 1,200 and 1,500 spectators, while the museum will feature impressionist art collections.
This ambitious project, estimated to cost around 100 million Swiss francs, aims to enhance community engagement through the arts and could potentially stimulate local economic growth. The plans include a tunnel connecting the cultural center to the Montreux-Oberland Bernois railway, facilitating access and encouraging tourism.
