In January 2025, São Paulo's Ibirapuera Park will expand its programming with a series of educational and interactive activities aimed at families during the vacation season. The initiative seeks to engage visitors of all ages in learning about the environment in a fun way.

The park's educational team will lead investigations among its trees, offering activities such as treasure hunts, homemade game creation using recyclable materials, and ring toss games. These initiatives are designed to foster a deeper understanding of the local flora and fauna.

Additionally, the 'Sextou no Ibira' program will include a free workshop on the Japanese technique of kokedama, or 'moss balls,' allowing participants to create their own living decorations without traditional pots.

On January 25 and 26, the 'Station Biodiversity: Coloring Ibira with Biotints' event will teach visitors how to produce biotints from natural elements like soil and seeds, encouraging creativity and awareness of the park's biodiversity.

The final 'Sextou no Ibira' of the month will focus on maintaining the park's garden and recycling center, where visitors can learn about vegetables and the recycling process while discussing contemporary issues related to biodiversity conservation and responsible consumption.

In celebration of São Paulo's 471st anniversary, the 'Environmental Circuit: Biodiversity in the Heart of São Paulo' will take place on January 25 and 26. This guided tour will highlight the park's rich biodiversity, featuring approximately 500 species of trees and 314 species of animals, including butterflies and birds, amidst the architectural beauty crafted by Oscar Niemeyer.
