Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Sika and Sulzer have partnered to advance plastic recycling in the construction industry. The two companies have founded a joint venture, with each holding half of the shares.

The joint venture aims to combine Sika's expertise in polymer applications and Sulzer's knowledge in chemical recycling processes. This collaboration seeks to create a system for collecting, processing, and reusing construction plastics using both mechanical and chemical methods.

The joint venture will be based near Zurich and is expected to be operational in the second half of 2025. Pilot projects are planned in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
