Morocco's Aerospace Industry Sees Significant Growth and Investment

Casablanca, Morocco - Morocco's aerospace sector is experiencing substantial growth, with over 150 companies generating approximately €2.5 billion in annual revenue as of June 2025. The industry employs around 26,000 people, focusing on the production of various aircraft components.

Key Developments - Safran Aircraft Engines announced plans for a LEAP engine maintenance facility near Casablanca in October 2024, set to open in 2026. Trelleborg began construction of a manufacturing plant for aerospace sealing systems in December 2024, with an investment of €10.2 million.

Strategic Initiatives - The Moroccan government is actively pursuing international partnerships to boost its aerospace capabilities. A framework agreement with Safran Group was signed in December 2023 to develop a local supply chain and enhance research, technology, and training programs. Morocco aims to double its aviation workforce by 2030.
