India is set to join the ranks of nations manufacturing executive business jets. Dassault Aviation and Reliance Infrastructure have announced plans to produce Falcon 2000 LXS jets in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
This collaboration marks the first time Dassault will produce these high-end aircraft outside of France. The joint venture, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL), established in 2017, has been producing components for the Falcon 2000 series at its Nagpur facility.
The expanded facility, with two new hangars, is expected to be operational by the end of 2023. This will enable DRAL to deliver its first fully assembled Falcon 2000 jet by early 2025. Initially, the production capacity is planned for 18 aircraft annually, with potential expansion to 22.
