Air India Expands Global Network with New Codeshare Agreements in 2025

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Air India is aggressively expanding its global reach through new codeshare agreements in 2025. The airline plans to finalize over ten partnerships with international carriers this fiscal year, focusing on broadening its network across North America, Europe, and Africa. This initiative aims to complement Air India's international growth strategy from its hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).

These partnerships will enhance passenger convenience with easier booking and coordinated schedules. Air India aims to increase its international business by twenty-five percent year-over-year. The airline currently has codeshare agreements with Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, United Airlines, and Air Canada, providing access to over 80 destinations globally.

The new agreements are expected to improve aircraft utilization and market penetration. Air India's codeshare and interline partnerships serve over twenty-five thousand travelers weekly. The airline has reported a doubling of passenger traffic and a tripling of booking revenue due to these collaborations.
