Quantum Magnetometer Achieves Unprecedented Navigation Accuracy

A quantum magnetometer, MagNav, developed by Q-CTRL, has demonstrated exceptional navigation accuracy, remaining invisible to radar systems. This technology offers a significant strategic advantage in military and sensitive environments due to its stealth capabilities.

Tests involving over 6700 kilometers of flight with a Cessna aircraft at varying altitudes showed a positioning error of only 22 meters in the worst-case scenario. The system achieved 46 times greater accuracy than top-tier commercial inertial systems when using externally mounted quantum magnetometers.

This breakthrough in quantum navigation presents a major advancement, providing highly precise positioning without reliance on external signals, making it resistant to jamming and spoofing.
