Matthews International opened a new Development Center in Vreden, Germany, focusing on hydrogen fuel cell production. The facility spans over 1,000 square meters and is dedicated to industrial process optimization and technological innovation. The center features a laboratory and process simulation hub for developing and testing innovative production methods. It focuses on rotary processes and web materials used in technical membranes, battery electrodes, and hydrogen fuel cell components. The facility includes advanced lab equipment like the GK300L calender, offering capabilities for compressing, embossing, laminating, and coating. Matthews aims to translate development into real-world applications, collaborating with industrial partners and research institutions. This center strengthens Matthews' position as a leader in technologically advanced production systems, particularly in new energy technologies.
