The technology world is buzzing as Poco has officially confirmed the global launch date for its highly anticipated flagship smartphone series, the F8 line. This new generation, which includes the powerful F8 Pro and the top-tier F8 Ultra models, is set to debut on November 26, 2025. The company has chosen the scenic island of Bali, Indonesia, as the venue for this major unveiling event. This announcement solidifies Poco’s commitment to expanding its premium offerings in the competitive global market, promising cutting-edge specifications tailored for demanding users.

Under the hood, both F8 devices are expected to run on HyperOS 3, Poco’s customized operating system built upon the foundation of Android 16. A key shared feature across the lineup is the stunning OLED display technology, boasting a crisp 1.5K resolution and a fluid 120 Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsiveness. However, screen sizes diverge slightly: the Poco F8 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch panel, while consumers opting for the F8 Ultra will enjoy a significantly larger 6.9-inch display. Interestingly, industry reports suggest that the Poco F8 Pro is essentially a re-engineered version of the Chinese Redmi K90, and the F8 Ultra is positioned as a modified variant of the high-end Redmi K90 Pro Max.

At the heart of the F8 series lies raw processing power delivered by Qualcomm chipsets. The Poco F8 Pro is equipped with the robust Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Stepping up the performance ladder, the F8 Ultra will incorporate the next-generation, more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This advanced silicon, fabricated using TSMC’s cutting-edge N3P process, introduces the formidable Oryon Gen 3 core, capable of clock speeds reaching up to 4.6 GHz. This architectural leap translates into a substantial single-core performance gain of up to 20% when compared directly to its predecessor. Furthermore, the integrated Adreno 840 graphics accelerator in the Gen 5 chip demonstrates a 23% improvement in overall performance while simultaneously achieving reduced power consumption, a critical factor for battery life and sustained gaming sessions.

The photographic capabilities of the F8 series are equally impressive, though distinct between the two models. The Poco F8 Pro features a versatile triple-camera array, headlined by a 50 MP main sensor complete with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), complemented by an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom. The F8 Ultra takes imaging a step further, utilizing three 50 MP sensors, including a sophisticated periscope telephoto lens, alongside an additional rear dynamic sensor designed to enhance depth and motion capture. When it comes to power delivery, both smartphones support blazing-fast 100W wired charging. Crucially, the F8 Ultra distinguishes itself by offering exclusive support for 50W wireless charging. Adding to the premium experience, Poco has confirmed a strategic partnership with audio specialist Bose to fine-tune the acoustic system, a benefit specifically highlighted for the Ultra model.

Finally, the memory and storage configurations ensure that both devices are ready for heavy multitasking and large media libraries. Both the Pro and Ultra variants will support up to 16 GB of high-speed operational memory. Storage options vary based on the model: the Poco F8 Pro will be available with internal storage capacities reaching 512 GB, while the flagship F8 Ultra offers expansive storage options, topping out at a massive 1 TB.
