New Zealand Launches 24/7 Telehealth Service

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Health New Zealand will launch a national 24/7 telehealth service in July 2025.

The service offers video consultations with registered clinicians, including GPs and nurse practitioners.

It aims to alleviate pressure on emergency departments by providing accessible primary healthcare remotely.

The service is accessible to all New Zealand residents.

Patients can book consultations through the Health New Zealand website using smartphones, tablets, or computers.

Fees and specific pricing details are yet to be fully disclosed.

The service is not intended to replace GPs but to ensure care is available when and where it's needed.
