AI-Powered Beehives Combat Colony Collapse

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Israel-based startup Beewise developed BeeHome, an AI-powered beehive. It houses up to 24 colonies within a robotic environment.

The BeeHome uses solar energy, computer vision, and machine learning to monitor and care for bees. It also features a robotic arm to regulate temperature and humidity, protecting against pests.

Recent studies show these technologies have improved colony survival rates in areas affected by pesticides and climate change. Over 300,000 robotic hives are operating in the United States.
