Google officially unveiled its latest generation of Pixel devices at the "Made by Google 2025" event in Brooklyn, New York, on August 20, 2025. The new lineup includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the innovative Pixel 10 Pro Fold. All devices are powered by Google's new Tensor G5 processor and incorporate the advanced Gemini AI.
The Pixel 10 series starts at $799 for the base model, with the Pixel 10 Pro priced at $999 and the Pixel 10 Pro XL at $1,199. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is available for pre-order starting at $1,799. These devices will be available in stores beginning August 28 in the United States, with wider international availability in 33 countries.
At the heart of the new Pixel devices is the Tensor G5 chip, manufactured on a 3nm process. This chip offers a 34% faster CPU and up to 60% more powerful AI processing compared to its predecessor, enabling generative AI tasks to run directly on the device. The Tensor G5 also features an expanded AI context window of 32,000 tokens for more comprehensive interactions.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 have been updated with Adaptive Audio and Loud Noise Protection. The more budget-friendly Pixel Buds 2a now include Active Noise Cancellation, powered by the Tensor A1 chip. The Pixel Watch 4 also sees upgrades, including a brighter, domed display, improved performance with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chipset, and enhanced health tracking capabilities, all while maintaining a focus on longevity and faster charging.
Google's launch strategy heavily emphasized AI integration, utilizing celebrity endorsements from figures like Jimmy Fallon and the Jonas Brothers to demonstrate real-world applications. This approach aims to position AI as an accessible and integral part of everyday technology, drawing a contrast with Apple's reported delays in rolling out similar AI features for Siri, which are now anticipated for 2026. This strategic focus on AI aims to differentiate Google in a competitive market by leveraging its hardware, software, and AI strengths.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold features an 8-inch Super Actua Flex interior display and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a first for a foldable device from Google. Its new gearless hinge is designed for enhanced durability, with Google claiming it can withstand over 10 years of folding. The device is equipped with a 5015mAh battery, supporting 30W wired and 15W wireless charging, with a 0-50% charge achievable in approximately 30 minutes.
Google's commitment to a cohesive ecosystem is evident across the new lineup, with each device designed to offer a seamless and intelligent user experience, driven by the power of AI and Google's custom silicon.
