Apple's iOS Beta Hints at New iPhone Air

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Apple released the second beta of iOS, revealing clues about a new iPhone model. The installation file for the new iPhone firmware was 3.83 GB, indicating significant changes.

A new clownfish wallpaper with a resolution of 2736 x 1260 pixels was found in the firmware's code. This resolution doesn't match current iPhone models, suggesting a new smartphone, possibly the iPhone Air.

The iPhone Air is rumored to have a 6.6-inch touchscreen, aligning with the wallpaper's resolution. iOS also introduces improvements like better Control Center visibility and a Recovery Assistant.

The Recovery Assistant allows iPhone restoration without a Mac or Windows PC, using another iPhone or iPad. Custom ringtones are now easier to add, and the default ringtone "Reflection" has an "Alternative 1" option.

In the US, orders can be tracked via Apple Wallet, even without Apple Pay. A new widget is available for live radio programs on Apple Music, focusing on Apple Music channels.
