Google Unveils Android 15 with Enhanced Security and Privacy Features

Google has launched Android 15, initially available for Pixel devices, focusing on security and privacy enhancements.

  • Theft Detection Lock: Utilizes AI to automatically lock the device if it detects theft, with an option for Remote Lock via another device.

  • Enhanced Security: Adds authentication requirements for sensitive settings to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Private Space: Allows users to hide sensitive apps in a locked, invisible folder, requiring additional authentication for access.

  • Taskbar Customization: Users can pin and unpin apps on foldable devices for improved multitasking.

  • Passkeys Integration: Enables one-tap login for apps using Passkeys.

While currently limited to Pixel 6 and newer models, some features will be available for devices running Android 10 and above.
