Edited by: Anna 🌎 Krasko

Arthur Boehringer established a new record for traversing the Vosges Mountains on Friday, May 30th. The Alsatian athlete completed the 208 km route, which included 7600 meters of elevation gain, in 26 hours and 8 minutes. The journey spanned from Abreschviller to Belfort.

Boehringer's time surpassed the previous record, set by Maxime Grenot in 2020, by over 33 minutes. Grenot's time was 26 hours and 41 minutes. Boehringer, a sports teacher, commenced his run on Thursday from Abreschviller and arrived in Belfort on Friday morning.

Boehringer expressed a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction upon completing the challenge. He was supported by a team of 50 people, including 20 for assistance and refueling, and around 30 who ran alongside him at various stages. Despite facing difficulties with digestion and challenging terrain near the finish, he maintained his resolve.
