Franco-Lebanese composer Omar Harfouch's musical composition, the 'Concerto for Peace,' has been officially added to the Apostolic Library of the Vatican, ensuring its permanent preservation.

This significant honor marks a rare achievement for a contemporary composer and highlights Harfouch's commitment to global harmony through his art. The manuscript was formally accepted in the historic Leonie Hall, which was inaugurated in 1892. The ceremony was attended by Prefect Giovanni Cesare Pagazzi, the Archivist and Librarian of the Holy Roman Church, and Monsignor Angelo Vincenzo Zani. Harfouch, accompanied by his wife Yulia and daughter Gustavia, presented the original score to the Vatican's care.

Harfouch, who has been recognized by Pope Francis as a "Pilgrim of Peace," collaborated with French painter Monsieur Jamin, known as the "French Basquiat," to create a unique work of art from the concerto's initial page. This artistic fusion aims to convey his vision for a unified world.

Further extending the reach of his message, Harfouch has been invited to perform the 'Concerto for Peace' at the Miss Universe finals in Bangkok in November 2025. The Miss Universe Organization, represented by President Raul Rocha and Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Kjær Theilvig, extended the invitation. This global platform is expected to reach over a billion viewers, amplifying the concerto's message of unity and understanding. He will also serve as a judge.

The Apostolic Library of the Vatican, one of the oldest and most significant in the world, holds over 1.1 million texts and documents, as well as 75,000 books predating the era of printing. The acceptance of Harfouch's work into its archives is a rare honor, emphasizing the historical and cultural value of his work.

Omar Harfouch, born in Lebanon, studied piano in the Soviet Union and subsequently founded the media group Supernova. His dedication to peace is evident in numerous performances and projects, recognized with international awards.

This dual recognition—archival preservation within the Vatican and a prominent global performance—underscores the enduring significance and contemporary relevance of Harfouch's composition, serving as both a historical anchor and a vibrant call for peace.
