15:11, 28 July

Edited by: Anulyazolotko Anulyazolotko

The 82nd Venice International Film Festival, scheduled from August 27 to September 6, 2025, will feature the Leoncino d'Oro award, traditionally presented by a jury of film students. This year, the jury will consist of 24 students from Italian universities, under the guidance of filmmaker Tommaso Santambrogio. The jury will award prizes for Best Restored Film and Best Documentary About Cinema in the Venice Classics section. The festival will open with Paolo Sorrentino's "La Grazia" and will honor filmmakers Werner Herzog and Kim Novak with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. The main competition jury will be chaired by American director Alexander Payne and includes members from various countries. The festival aims to showcase international cinema and promote dialogue among cultures.
