Amazon Prime Video has officially announced its content lineup for January 2026, setting the stage for the new year with a mix of fresh international original series and highly anticipated returns of established favorites. This strategic unveiling underscores the platform's commitment to expanding its global footprint through substantial investment in diverse, high-caliber programming right from the start of the year.

A centerpiece of the international offerings is the South Korean romantic comedy, "Spring Fever" (Spritng Fever), slated for its premiere on January 5, 2026. This 12-episode production from tvN follows the journey of Yoon Bom, a teacher who relocates to the provincial town of Singsu following personal setbacks, aiming to forge a new path. Her emotional revitalization kicks off upon meeting Song Jae Gyu, the CEO of JK Power Energy. The series is helmed by director Park Won Guk, with the screenplay penned by Kim Ah Young.

The following day, January 6, will see the release of the anime adaptation, "The Darwin Incident," based on the manga by Shun Umezawa. Produced by BELLNOX FILMS, the series centers on Charlie, a human-chimpanzee hybrid struggling to navigate high school life after spending fifteen years in a foster family. This project has already garnered significant acclaim, notably receiving recognition at the 15th Manga Taisho awards.

Anticipation is particularly high for the worldwide debut of the second season of the espionage thriller, "The Night Manager," which arrives on Prime Video on January 11, 2026. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Jonathan Pine, now operating under the alias Alex Goodwin, an MI6 officer based in London.
