As the Diwali festivities approach, Bollywood gears up for a major box office clash with the release of two highly anticipated films, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again, both set to hit theaters on November 1, 2024.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, has already made waves in advance bookings, boasting 1,790 shows and selling 28,454 tickets, grossing around ₹72 lakh. The film features a star-studded cast including Kartik Aaryan, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, and Vijay Raaz, and is backed by a ₹150 crore budget.
In contrast, Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, has opened its advance booking later, resulting in only 403 shows and 2,293 tickets sold, amounting to ₹7.7 lakh. The film stars Ajay Devgn alongside a powerhouse ensemble including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff.
Despite the initial lag, trade experts remain optimistic about both films' performance, especially since the year has been challenging for Bollywood. With the festive season upon us, theater owners are hopeful for a significant boost in box office revenue.
