Asunción's Waterfront Hosts Lunar Eclipse Viewing Event

A large crowd gathered at Asunción's waterfront to observe the year's first total lunar eclipse. The free event, organized by the MuCi Science Museum, featured professional telescopes and expert guidance, allowing attendees to enjoy the celestial phenomenon. Participants observed the eclipse through ten professional telescopes, guided by MuCi staff and volunteers. The event aimed to bring science closer to the public, offering a memorable experience under the night sky. An astronomer explained that a lunar eclipse occurs when Earth positions itself between the Sun and Moon, blocking sunlight and giving the Moon a reddish hue.
