Edited by: Anna 🌎 Krasko

An incoming polar air mass is forecast to bring extreme cold and significant storms to Argentina. The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) warns of a drastic shift in weather patterns. This event will affect much of the country.

Minimum temperatures in central and northern Argentina could plummet to between -4°C and 8°C. The Patagonia region may experience temperatures below -10°C. The cold snap will be accompanied by heavy rainfall and potential hailstorms.

The storms are expected to intensify, particularly in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA). Strong winds with gusts exceeding 50 kilometers per hour are also anticipated. Authorities advise residents to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
