A pilot over Colombia captured incredible footage of UFOs at an altitude of 12 500 feet, and their authenticity has been officially confirmed.
Re-evaluating the 2022 Colombian UAP Encounter: A Deep Dive into the Antioquia Footage

As the year 2026 unfolds, there has been a significant resurgence in public and scientific interest regarding a remarkable video depicting an Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) in the Antioquia region of Colombia. This footage, which was initially recorded in May 2022, has once again become a focal point of discussion within the global community. This renewed attention is occurring against a backdrop of increased transparency and investigation into UAPs worldwide, supported by the rigorous reporting of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and the dedicated scientific research initiatives launched by NASA to study these enigmatic occurrences.
The primary witness, pilot Jorge A. Arteaga, captured the high-quality footage on May 12, 2022, while navigating a Cessna T303 Crusader. At the time of the encounter, Arteaga was maintaining an altitude of roughly 12,500 feet near the town of Santa Fe de Antioquia. According to his testimony, the object did not possess the characteristics of any known aircraft or weather balloon. The situation escalated quickly, forcing the pilot to perform a sudden evasive maneuver when the unidentified craft unexpectedly shifted its trajectory and accelerated directly toward his cockpit.
Arteaga described the craft as having a distinct metallic and polished appearance, with no visible signs of wings, rudders, or conventional propulsion mechanisms. During the critical moments of the encounter, the pilot noted that his aircraft was traveling at a speed ranging between 130 and 140 knots, which translates to more than 300 kilometers per hour. One of the most compelling aspects of his report was the object's stability; it appeared entirely unaffected by the aerodynamic wake or wash produced by the Cessna, a detail that Arteaga believes effectively rules out the possibility of it being a stationary or drifting balloon.
The investigation into the incident has drawn the attention of several high-profile researchers, most notably the Mexican journalist Jaime Maussan. After conducting a detailed analysis of the original files, Maussan and his team confirmed that there were no traces of digital editing, CGI, or any form of manipulation in the video. Maussan has publicly lauded the footage, characterizing it as one of the most significant and greatest pieces of UAP evidence ever recorded in history, emphasizing its clarity and the professional context in which it was filmed.
As of February 14, 2026, the official aviation regulatory bodies in Colombia have not yet issued a comprehensive or final report regarding the encounter involving Jorge A. Arteaga. This silence from official channels has left many questions about the object’s origin and nature unresolved. Nevertheless, the Arteaga video continues to act as a powerful catalyst for a broader dialogue between scientists and government officials regarding aerial phenomena that demonstrate performance capabilities far exceeding current human technological standards.
