Hydromea Blue Logic Partner for Subsea Wireless Revolution

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Hydromea and Blue Logic have joined forces to enhance wireless communication underwater. This partnership merges Blue Logic's inductive power technology with Hydromea's free-space optical solutions. The goal is to create faster, more reliable, and flexible wireless local area networks (WLANs) for subsea operations.

The collaboration integrates Blue Logic's Subsea USB Inductive Connectors with Hydromea's LUMA™ Optical Modems. This combination allows for efficient power and data transfer without physical contact. It also enables real-time, high-bandwidth communication at speeds up to 10 Mbit/s.

This technology will transform subsea monitoring in offshore energy, defense, and ocean research. It will reduce reliance on support vessels, lower costs, and minimize the environmental impact of underwater missions. The combined solution is already proven in commercial deployments, supporting the next generation of subsea digitalization.
