DeepOcean Expands ROV Fleet with New Electric Units

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

DeepOcean is significantly expanding its remotely operated vehicle (ROV) fleet, adding eight new units to enhance its subsea operations. This expansion highlights the company's commitment to modern electric ROV technology and sustainable practices.

The expansion includes deliveries from Kystdesign, with two electric work-class ROVs (WROVs) and one electric observation ROV planned. The first electric WROV, delivered in May 2025, will operate on the uncrewed surface vessel, USV Challenger, and is capable of operating down to 1,500 meters.

These advancements, along with the acquisition of Shelf Subsea, position DeepOcean to meet the growing demand for subsea services globally. The new ROVs will feature the latest underwater technologies and are compatible with remote, autonomous, and digital solutions, enhancing efficiency and expanding service capabilities.
