Edited by: Anulyazolotko Anulyazolotko

The inaugural Borneo Flora Festival 2025 took place from July 26 to 30 at the Labuan International Sea Sports Complex, showcasing the region's rich biodiversity and cultural heritage. The event featured over 200,000 tropical plants and flowers across 20 themed gardens, including the Borneo Rainforest Jewel, Underwater World Garden, Glow in the Dark Garden, and Insta Garden. Visitors had the opportunity to explore these immersive floral installations, cultural showcases, eco-glamping zones, and participate in creative workshops, making it a must-visit for nature lovers, families, and design enthusiasts.

Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, officiated the opening ceremony on July 26, highlighting the festival's significance in promoting Labuan as a key tourism hub and creating economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs and plant growers. The festival aimed to boost Labuan's eco-tourism and socio-economic growth, reinforcing the island's transformation into a sustainable and inclusive tourism destination.

Organized by the Department of Federal Territories, the festival attracted thousands of visitors eager to experience the vibrant showcase of tropical flora. The event's success underscores Labuan's potential as a vibrant and sustainable tourist destination, creating growth and opportunities for locals and tourists alike.
