Brazil's Várzea Grande to Study Flora for Municipal Park Upgrade

Edited by: Anulyazolotko Anulyazolotko

Várzea Grande, Brazil, has initiated a comprehensive ecological study of the Bernardo Berneck Environmental Protection Area (APA). This study will encompass the area's fauna and flora. The initiative aims to transform the APA into a municipal natural park.

Mayor Flávia Moretti signed an agreement with the Public Ministry to secure funding for the study. This is a crucial step towards enabling the park to receive state and federal resources for structural improvements.

The ecological study is expected to take 10 to 12 months. Following the study, the area will be eligible for inclusion in the Ministry of Environment's list for further funding and development.
