Protecting Animals from Summer Heat: Guidelines

Edited by: Olga Samsonova

Provide water, shade, and limit exposure to heat. Farm animals need fresh water; shade is essential. Avoid transport above 30°C. Pets need water, shade, and should not be left in vehicles. Heatstroke signs: rapid breathing, panting. Treat heatstroke with ventilation, cool water, and veterinary help. Organizers must ensure animal welfare at events, adjusting event times and providing shade and water.
