On June 1, 2025, the CRAM Foundation for the Conservation and Recovery of Marine Animals released five recovered loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) at El Prat de Llobregat beach, just south of Barcelona. This event, known as "Torna a casa" (Return Home), continues a tradition of over 30 years, highlighting the foundation's dedication to recovering endangered marine species along the Catalan coast.

The turtles, named Ortiz, Fotja, Pepe, Adrià, and Carolina, had been rescued and rehabilitated at the foundation's headquarters. Hundreds of volunteers and community members gathered to watch their release. The CRAM Foundation has cared for 57 turtles since the beginning of 2025 through its Servimar project.

The CRAM Foundation is a private entity that assists protected marine fauna in Catalonia. It provides essential services for the rescue, recovery, and reintroduction of marine animals, contributing significantly to marine conservation efforts in the region.
