WhiteBIT announced on December 4, 2025, that its native digital asset, WhiteBIT Coin (WBT), has been officially integrated into the S&P Cryptocurrency Broad Digital Market (BDM) Index. This inclusion, managed by S&P Dow Jones Indices, signifies that WBT now meets stringent institutional criteria related to liquidity, market capitalization, governance standards, transparency, and risk controls.

WBT also secured placement in four related S&P Dow Jones digital-asset indices: the S&P Cryptocurrency Broad Digital Asset (BDA) Index, the S&P Cryptocurrency Financials Index, the S&P Cryptocurrency LargeCap Ex-MegaCap Index, and the S&P Cryptocurrency LargeCap Index. The inclusion in the Financials Index specifically recognizes digital assets that provide financial services or products, whether centralized or decentralized. This multi-index representation marks a significant step for WBT, positioning it as an integrated component within global benchmark structures used by sophisticated investment firms and designers of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) and Exchange Traded Notes (ETN).

The classification process mandates a history spanning multiple quarters that demonstrates stable liquidity, transparent price formation, and consistent market capitalization behavior. Volodymyr Nosov, CEO of WhiteBIT, stated that this recognition confirms that "crypto infrastructure from our region has reached global institutional standards." This validation follows recent operational achievements for the asset; WBT reached an all-time high valuation of $62.96 on November 18, 2025, amidst prevailing market conditions.

WhiteBIT, established in 2018 as a core component of the W Group, is recognized as the largest European cryptocurrency exchange by traffic metrics. The platform currently supports over 900 trading pairs and 340 distinct assets, facilitating transactions across eight supported fiat currencies. This operational base supports the asset’s institutional validation. In a parallel move reflecting global expansion, WhiteBIT formally launched its United States operations, WhiteBIT US, in 2025, establishing a New York headquarters and securing nationwide licensing.

The W Group ecosystem, which comprises eight companies including WhiteBIT, now serves more than 35 million customers globally. Key commercial relationships include partnerships with Visa, FACEIT, FC Juventus, and the Ukrainian national football team. The S&P BDM Index methodology, which guides inclusion, is structured similarly to the established S&P 500 equity index, emphasizing a clear market structure for leading digital assets. This comprehensive inclusion across five distinct S&P benchmarks solidifies WBT’s standing as a maturing digital asset, offering a clear reference point for investment firms designing long-term allocation models.
