Chinese automaker BYD is planning a new electric vehicle plant in Germany, challenging Tesla's Gigafactory near Berlin. This would be BYD's third European plant, following planned facilities in Turkey and Hungary. BYD is also introducing new EVs with 1,000 kW charging capabilities, twice as powerful as Tesla's upcoming 500 kW Supercharger V4. BYD claims its technology can add up to 470 kilometers of range in just 5 minutes. The company has opened pre-orders for its Han L EV sedan and Tang L EV SUV.
