Apple is also doubling its U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Fund, including a commitment to advanced silicon manufacturing at TSMC's Arizona plant. The 20,000 new hires will focus on R&D, engineering, software development, AI, and machine learning. A new manufacturing academy will open in Detroit to advise companies on AI and smart manufacturing techniques.
