The Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) 2025 is currently underway in Doha, serving as a vital platform for Armenia to present its diverse tourism offerings to the global travel industry. A dedicated delegation, headed by Lusine Gevorgyan, the Head of the Tourism Committee, is actively engaging with representatives from the Gulf nations and a broader international audience. Their primary objective is to solidify Armenia's image as a secure, multifaceted, and highly appealing destination for global travelers.

Armenia's presence at QTM aligns perfectly with its broader strategic goals: strengthening international partnerships and attracting essential investment into the country's tourism infrastructure. At the Armenian pavilion, visitors are being introduced to the nation's rich tapestry of cultural heritage and stunning natural scenery. Highlights featured include iconic sites such as the Gegard Monastery and the Temple of Garni, alongside breathtaking natural features like dramatic canyons and challenging mountain trails.

A significant focus of Armenia's presentation is the commitment to sustainable tourism practices. Concurrently, the country is actively cultivating its premium travel sector. This high-end segment encompasses world-class hot springs, specialized balneological centers, and meticulously crafted, personalized itinerary options designed for discerning visitors.

Statistical data from the first ten months of 2025, covering January through September, indicates a robust surge in international interest. The country has welcomed over 1.9 million visitors during this period. Russia continues to be the largest source market for Armenian tourism, followed closely by travelers from Georgia and Iran. Interestingly, the flow of tourists originating from Qatar has seen a slight contraction, registering an 8 percent decrease compared to the figures recorded in the previous year.

Gastronomy plays an indispensable role in Armenia's international showcase. Attendees at the exhibition have the opportunity to sample authentic national dishes, including Khorovats (barbecue) and Dolma. Furthermore, the presentation heavily features wines made from indigenous grape varieties, such as the renowned Areni. Global appreciation for Armenian brandy is steadily increasing, complemented by new wineries that are now offering immersive tasting experiences and organized vineyard tours.

The cultural narrative presented at QTM extends beyond culinary delights, encompassing detailed accounts of ancient monastic complexes. Among these historical treasures highlighted is the Kecharis complex, underscoring the depth of Armenia's historical significance. Through this comprehensive presentation at QTM 2025, Armenia is firmly positioning itself as a destination that promises travelers vibrant, profound, and genuinely authentic experiences.
