Alcalá de Guadaíra Showcases Rich Heritage and Natural Beauty to National Press on 'Camino Vertical' Tour

Alcalá de Guadaíra, a city near Seville, Spain, recently hosted a group of journalists specializing in tourism and heritage as part of the 'Fam Trip' of Prensa Camino Vertical, an initiative funded by the Interreg VI A Spain - Portugal Cooperation Program (Poctep) 2021-2027. The journalists explored Alcalá's cultural, scenic, and historical ties to the St. James's Way routes that traverse the province of Seville. During their visit, the journalists toured iconic landmarks such as the Castle and the Arrabal district, the San Miguel neighborhood, the Riberas del Guadaíra Natural Monument, and the Mina mill. They also had the opportunity to savor the local Alcalareña cuisine. Christopher Rivas, the municipal delegate of Tourism, highlighted that this visit reinforces Alcalá's position as a unique tourist destination where heritage, nature, and culture converge. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to consolidate the municipality as a benchmark for heritage tourism in Andalusia. The 'Fam Trip' initiative aims to showcase Alcalá de Guadaíra's tourism offerings to prestigious national and international media, contributing to the promotion of tourism in the province.
