In response to the rapidly changing landscape of knowledge and the rise of artificial intelligence, Unifranz in Bolivia has partnered with Mondragón University from the Basque Country, Spain, to transform higher education. This collaboration, initiated in October 2024, focuses on shared experiences and a human-centered approach to learning.
The partnership has yielded four innovative prototypes designed to reshape Unifranz's educational model. These prototypes address global trends and specific needs within Bolivia. They aim to integrate soft skills into the curriculum through micro-credentials, emphasizing practical application and interaction with the real world.
The collaboration prioritizes the development of well-rounded individuals, not just skilled professionals. This involves integrating four key dimensions: the disruptive innovator, the creator, the integral being, and the global citizen. This approach aims to equip students with the skills needed to meet the ethical, social, and cultural challenges of the 21st century.
Unifranz views educational innovation as a commitment to redefine learning as an adaptable, inclusive, and profound process. This partnership represents a significant step towards transforming education in Bolivia and the broader Latin American region, fostering a collaborative effort that looks towards a future where universities inspire social transformation.
