Satoe Atap is a social education community in Semarang, Indonesia, dedicated to providing educational support to underprivileged children. Established on April 12, 2007, by a group of law students from Diponegoro University, the community's name, "Satoe Atap," translates to "Sayang iTOE Asli Tanpa Pamrih," reflecting their mission of selfless service.
The community operates two main teaching locations: the Seroja Spot, situated at the back terrace of the Karang Kidul Village Hall, and the Badak Spot, located at SD Pandean Lamper 02. Educational sessions are held twice a week—on Tuesdays at the Seroja Spot and on Saturdays at the Badak Spot—providing essential learning opportunities for children from various age groups.
Over the years, Satoe Atap has expanded its volunteer base, now including individuals from various universities and institutions. The community's activities encompass not only academic teaching but also character education, religious education, social services, and cultural exploration, aiming to foster holistic development in children.
Through its consistent efforts, Satoe Atap continues to make a significant impact on the educational landscape for underprivileged children in Semarang, embodying the spirit of community-driven education and empowerment.
