Fashion Week El Paseo to Showcase Next-Generation Designers in March 2026-1

Diamond Wish Fashion Week El Paseo, recognized as a significant fashion exhibition on the U.S. West Coast, is scheduled to present collections from emerging designers between March 13 and March 18, 2026, in Palm Desert, California. This annual event, marking its 19th iteration, functions as a connection point between advanced fashion education and practical industry exposure for new creative professionals. The event draws attendees from across the United States, Canada, and international locations, reinforcing the Coachella Valley's role in luxury and cultural activities.

The central showcase for new talent is set for Tuesday, March 17, featuring the Next-Gen Designer presentation. Students from Istituto Marangoni Miami, an Italian fashion and design school with a campus in Miami's Design District, will unveil their curated collections under the theme “#We Say, Moda!”. The presentation will feature the work of over 14 couture design students whose creations are conceptually focused on the hyperconnected modern world. These contemporary lines are expected to integrate elements of streetwear, formal eveningwear, and experimental design, emphasizing both meticulous craftsmanship and technological integration.

This platform for emerging creatives is supported by sponsorship from Jordan Schnitzer, an advocate for arts and education and President and CEO of Schnitzer Properties, a major private real estate owner on the West Coast. Schnitzer channels his philanthropic efforts through the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation, supporting the belief that arts education cultivates the creative thinking necessary for the modern workforce. His commitment to the arts also includes exhibiting his extensive private collection in partnership with numerous museums globally.

Fashion Week El Paseo is presented by California Bank & Trust and sponsored by Diamond Wish, a fourth-generation family jeweler. The event typically includes a series of runway presentations, receptions, and trunk shows held at The Gardens on El Paseo. The 2025 event attracted nearly 7,000 guests and generated an estimated local economic impact exceeding $1.2 million, with a substantial portion of attendees traveling from outside the Coachella Valley specifically for the shows. The student showcase consistently offers insight into evolving aesthetic expression by challenging conventional boundaries in textile use and design.
