Brittany's Corres'Santé Initiative: Empowering Youth Through Peer Health Education in 2025

Edited by: Olga Samsonova

The Brittany Region in France continues its support of the peer-to-peer health education program, Corres'Santé, in 2025. This initiative empowers young individuals aged 16-25 to promote health and well-being among their peers facing various challenges.

These young educators receive training on crucial topics such as emotional and sexual health, discrimination, substance abuse, and anxiety. Corres'Santé equips them to serve as valuable resources, supported by adult mentors and organizations, enabling them to connect with and guide struggling youth towards healthcare services.

In addition to providing guidance, these young leaders organize workshops and activities, including sports events and game afternoons, to foster social connections, particularly for young people in isolated rural areas. The program highlights the effectiveness of peer-led approaches in addressing health and social challenges. The regional support extends to structures that welcome young people in integration who wish to develop peer education actions, with a deadline for applications set for December 31, 2025.
