On January 24, 2025, Rumble, the video-sharing platform, announced the launch of its crypto wallet, the Rumble Wallet, aimed at facilitating payments between users and content creators. CEO Chris Pavlovski highlighted that this wallet will support Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT), enabling creators to receive payments directly in cryptocurrency.
Pavlovski emphasized that the Rumble Wallet represents a significant internal project, positioning the platform as a pioneer in digital payment solutions for creators. Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, noted the potential for rapid adoption, given Rumble's user base of nearly 100 million monthly active participants.
Rumble has recently completed its first Bitcoin acquisition and plans to invest up to $20 million in Bitcoin, viewing it as a hedge against inflation. Furthermore, the platform secured a $775 million investment from Tether, acquiring over 103 million Class A shares, which has contributed to a doubling of its stock price over the past six months. Currently, Rumble's shares are trading at $13, reflecting a 2% increase in pre-market trading.
