Novi Pazar Launches Free Ski Program for Students

The winter season in Novi Pazar is set to become even more exciting as the city prepares to launch its fifth annual winter tourist ski bus program next week. This initiative, organized by the Tourist Organization and the Sports Association, aims to introduce elementary school students to the joys of skiing.

“When something works well, there’s no need to change it,” stated Dejan Belojica, director of the Tourist Organization of Novi Pazar. He expressed confidence in the program's success, which offers free skiing, equipment, ski passes, and transportation for students.

Over the past four years, more than 2,000 students have participated in this program, which provides a basic introduction to skiing. This year, the program will run until the end of March, with two groups of students traveling to Kopaonik each week.

Each school is allowed to send 15 skiers and five non-skiers, who will receive lessons from licensed instructors. Adem Mavrić from the Sports Association of Novi Pazar emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader effort to engage children in various sports, from swimming to skating, through completely free programs.
