Russian Military Aircraft Briefly Violated Polish Airspace

A Russian Su-24MR military aircraft briefly violated Polish airspace on Tuesday, according to Polish authorities. The incident occurred over the Baltic Sea, with the aircraft entering Polish territory for one minute and twelve seconds.

The Polish Operational Command reported that the aircraft changed its route after Polish forces alerted the crew to the intrusion. Russian officials allegedly attributed the incident to a malfunction in the jet's navigation system.

Poland's Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak stated that Polish systems detected the aircraft immediately, and it exited Polish airspace after receiving notification of the violation. The Polish Foreign Ministry is assessing the situation and will respond accordingly.
