Netanyahu Warns Hamas of Renewed Offensive if Hostages Not Released by Saturday

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on February 11, 2025, that if Hamas does not release the remaining hostages by Saturday at noon, Israel will resume its military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu's announcement followed a four-hour security cabinet meeting. An Israeli official clarified that the demand pertains to the nine hostages still alive, who should be released within the first 42 days of the ceasefire.

The Israeli military has confirmed the mobilization of additional troops and reservists near Gaza in preparation for various scenarios.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has also threatened severe consequences for Gaza if the hostages are not released by the specified deadline.
