Ireland's Services Sector Growth Reaches Highest Level Since April 2023

DUBLIN, Dec 4 - Ireland's services sector experienced significant growth in November, achieving its highest level since April 2023, according to a recent survey.

The AIB Global S&P Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) increased to 58.3 in November, up from 53.8 in October. This marks a sustained period of growth, with the index remaining above the 50 threshold that indicates expansion since March 2021.

All four sub-sectors reported accelerated growth, with financial services leading the performance. New business saw its fastest growth rate since March, while export orders rose for the fourth consecutive month.

Despite rising costs attributed to wages and fuel, the rate of price increases for services was the slowest recorded since April 2021.
