Musk and Ramaswamy Lead New U.S. Efficiency Initiative Ahead of Inauguration

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's aides have begun preliminary interviews with staff at over a dozen federal agencies as part of a new initiative aimed at enhancing government efficiency.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spearheaded by Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, is focused on dismantling bureaucracy and cutting regulations.

According to reports, agencies involved include the Treasury Department, the Internal Revenue Service, Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, and Health and Human Services.

More than 50 staff members have already started working from SpaceX offices, with plans to expand the team to nearly 100 by Trump's inauguration on January 20.

Steve Davis, president of Musk's tunneling company the Boring Company, is overseeing the initiative, while Emil Michael, a former Uber executive, is tasked with regulatory reform.
