Eco-Movement Acquires EVA Global's Spectrum Technology to Enhance EV Charging Data Services

UTRECHT, Netherlands, Jan 2, 2024 – Eco-Movement, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging station data services, has announced the acquisition of EVA Global's Spectrum technology platform following EVA Global's bankruptcy.

This acquisition aims to strengthen Eco-Movement's mission to improve the EV ecosystem by providing advanced data solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), navigation platforms, and charging network operators.

With the integration of the Spectrum platform, Eco-Movement will enhance its data architecture, delivering real-time and reliable charging information to partners. The company positions itself as a frontrunner in EV charging data, aiming to drive innovation and improve service quality for EV drivers globally.

Roderick van den Berg, CEO of Eco-Movement, remarked, "The acquisition ensures that EVA Global's innovative solutions will continue to benefit the EV ecosystem. Eco-Movement clarified that only the Spectrum technology platform has been acquired, and it will not engage in other activities previously provided by EVA Global.

Eco-Movement, based in the Netherlands, covers over 1.5 million (semi-)public chargers across Europe, North America, and beyond, maintaining direct connections with over 1,000 Charge Point Operators. The company partners with major brands including Tesla, TomTom, NIO, and Apple to deliver comprehensive data for optimal EV charging experiences.
