Bengaluru, December 18, 2024 – Oklo has entered into a master agreement with Switch to provide nuclear energy for data centers powered by artificial intelligence.
Each Aurora Powerhouse reactor can generate up to 15 megawatts electric, as per the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This partnership aims to address the increasing electricity demands of AI while promoting sustainable energy sources.
Switch operates several renewable energy-powered data centers in the U.S., serving clients including NVIDIA, FedEx, Google, and PayPal. Oklo, which went public in May, plans to develop its first small modular nuclear reactor by 2027.
