Zscaler Reports 26% Revenue Growth in Q1 2025, Announces New CPO

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 02, 2024 – Zscaler, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZS) announced its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, reporting a revenue increase of 26% year-over-year, reaching $628.0 million.

Calculated billings also grew, rising 13% to $516.7 million, while deferred revenue climbed 27% to $1,783.7 million. The company recorded a GAAP net loss of $12.1 million, a significant improvement from a loss of $33.5 million in the same quarter last year. Non-GAAP net income surged to $124.3 million, compared to $86.4 million a year earlier.

CEO Jay Chaudhry attributed the strong performance to increased customer engagement and effective sales strategies. He noted that the integration of Zero Trust and AI technologies is creating substantial growth opportunities.

Additionally, Zscaler appointed Adam Geller as Chief Product Officer to spearhead innovation and growth initiatives. The company also highlighted a new milestone, surpassing half a trillion daily transactions on its cloud security platform.

Looking ahead, Zscaler anticipates revenue between $633 million and $635 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2025.
