The hunt for rare sports trading cards has taken an exciting turn with the release of a unique Paul Skenes rookie card, which could fetch over $1 million at auction. This one-of-a-kind card, produced by Topps, features the 22-year-old pitcher’s autograph along with the 'MLB Debut' patch from his first game, making it a collector's dream.

Released on November 13, the card is hidden in foil packs of Topps cards, potentially located anywhere from card shops to under Christmas trees. Chad Weldon, CEO of Sport Card Junction in Pittsburgh, noted unprecedented interest, stating, 'I’ve had more people asking about this card than I ever have.'

Adding to the excitement, the Pittsburgh Pirates have offered an incredible 'bounty' for the card, including two home plate seats for every game over the next 30 years, a meet-and-greet with Skenes, and more. This package, valued at over $1 million, has collectors buzzing.

Popular LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, Skenes's girlfriend, sweetened the deal by offering a chance to watch a game from her private suite, while late-night host Seth Meyers offered VIP tickets to his show for the card.

Experts believe the card's auction potential is immense, with estimates suggesting it could easily reach seven figures. Ken Goldin, CEO of Goldin Auctions, urged the finder to sell through his company, promising a life-changing sale.

With unopened packs still on the shelves, collectors are eagerly waiting for the moment when this treasure is finally discovered, knowing it could lead to a life-changing experience.
