The Berlin International Film Festival, known as Berlinale, has unveiled its main competition lineup for 2025, featuring the Ukrainian documentary 'Time Tape' directed by Kateryna Gornostai. Festival director Tricia Tuttle expressed pride in this year's selection, which showcases a diverse range of films reflecting various global perspectives.

Among the highly anticipated titles is Richard Linklater's 'Blue Moon,' set in 1943, starring Ethan Hawke and Margaret Qualley. The festival will also present 'Dreams' by Mexican filmmaker Michel Franco, featuring Jessica Chastain, Isaac Hernández, and Rupert Friend. This film tells the story of a young dancer's aspirations in San Francisco, supported by his lover.

Renowned Romanian director Radu Jude will present 'Kontinenta 25,' while Rebecca Lenkiewicz's 'Hot Milk' explores the relationship between a mother and daughter visiting a Spanish town. The festival will also highlight 'Znak Chasu,' a co-production from Ukraine, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and France, focusing on a school operating in war-torn Ukrainian territories.

Berlinale 2025 will take place from February 13-23, featuring not only film screenings but also the European Film Market and Berlinale Talents.
