On December 5, 2024, Bitcoin's price fell to $92,957, prompting significant accumulation by firms and investors. BlackRock purchased 7,750 Bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to $48.9 billion. This surge in investment follows the rapid success of its spot Bitcoin ETF, described as the 'fastest growing ETF EVER' by crypto market analysts.
Additionally, MARA Holdings acquired 1,423 Bitcoin, valued at $139.5 million, as part of its strategy to retain all mined Bitcoin. Following the closing of an $850 million convertible note offering, MARA's total Bitcoin holdings reached 22,108, marking a 162% increase from the previous month.
Furthermore, an anonymous whale took advantage of the price drop, buying 600 Bitcoin worth $58.85 million. Just a day prior, Semler Scientific had also increased its holdings by purchasing 303 Bitcoin at an average price of $96,779, bringing its total to 1,873 Bitcoin.
Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $97,580, reflecting a 4.9% decrease over the last 24 hours.
