NXP Semiconductors has launched joint laboratories with Wistron and Inventec in Taoyuan, Taiwan, aimed at advancing automotive technologies.
The collaboration with Wistron focuses on developing software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures, integrating NXP's automotive networking solutions such as the S32J and S32G processors. The lab will enhance research in automotive Ethernet, network security, and system compatibility.
Meanwhile, the Inventec lab will develop Ultra-Wideband (UWB) systems, leveraging NXP's Trimension UWB technology. This technology supports secure ranging and advanced features like intruder alerts and in-cabin sensing, transforming vehicles into mobile offices.
The partnerships aim to accelerate innovation in the automotive sector, addressing the increasing demand for advanced vehicle technologies.
